Full Description: The Instructor Development Course (IDC) endeavors to prepare Subject Matter Experts (SME) from various fields within the Intelligence Community to effectively instruct students within the Intelligence Training Academy (ITA). The course will utilize an instructor-led training approach to focus on skills specific to a proficient instructor, such as effective delivery of course material, student engagement, classroom management, and proper assessment procedures. Students will be given various opportunities to hone their skills with non-graded and graded practical exercises, small group presentation and discussion activities, a written exam, and a final presentation of their instructional skills.

Prerequisites: FY24 DHS ITA Student Acknowledgement Form

I have downloaded and read the DHS FY24 ITA’s Student Handbook which outlines the standards of conduct, policies, and expectations of the ITA and my responsibilities as a student while attending training.

I will comply with security regulations and guidelines governing the proper handling, storage, and transmission of classified and sensitive-but-unclassified information. I understand this handbook is not intended to cover every situation which may arise during my training, but is a general guide to the goals, policies, practices, and expectations of the ITA.

I understand the below acknowledgement is valid for the current fiscal year and I am responsible for reviewing and complying with any updated student handbook versions.
I have my supervisors' approval to attend this course.
